Jal jeevan mission was announced by Narendramodi Govt. In the year 2019.
And its main target was to provide the Tao water facility to all the rural households till the year 2024.
The mission is operational under Department of Drinking water and sanitisation.
The objective of this mission is to provide 55 litre water per day per person.
And according to the Department 53% eligible population are already enjoying this facility.
